Four manicure ideas for Halloween 2018

Hi loves! Halloween is very close, and if you still don’t know how to paint your nails for this special day, let me give you some nail inspo!

I prepared four Halloween manicures to show you: two are simple nail polish swatches, and the other two are complete nail designs. I used indie polishes for my favourite brands – A England and Cadillacquer – but you can of course look for something similar if you don’t have them. Let’s start!

If Halloween for you means skeletons, witches, haunted manors and all these spooky things, you will probably appreciate this design. I placed all of them on my nails for a frightening Halloween mani! I used a set of water decals from Born Pretty Store over the beautiful Cobweb A Fairy by A England. Sadly these water decals have been discontinued now, but you can search for many other Halloween decals on Born Pretty Store site (Born Pretty Store | Water Decals).

Also, Halloween manis doesn’t necessary need to be scary: why not considering a cute Halloween mani? If you are looking for a sweet kawaii Halloween plate (that also includes scarier designs though) you can check out the stamping plate Witches Brew (CJSH-21) by Clear Jelly Stamper and Upadaisynails! I used it for this design, that required the layered stamping technique.

The background colour is From The Ashes by Cadillacquer – which was part of the Fan Collection 2018 – and the designs were stamped with the white stamping polish by Moyra and the Ya Qin An black stamping polish.

Kawaii Halloween Nails

Cadillacquer, Dark Willow

Halloween nail designs are surely enjoyable and interesting, but we all agree that making a complete nail art requires some time. And, if you are always in a hurry like I am, you won’t probably have enough time to do a full nail art. So, why not wearing “just” a nail polish? There are many shades that work great for Halloween day, and I love wearing the ones by Cadillacquer, as they compliment perfectly my Halloween spirit.

This neon orange beauty is called Dark Willow (inspired by the homonym villain of Buffy The Vampire Slayer) and it is a crelly (opaque in 2 coats!) with two sized hex black glitter and orange/pink flakies. It’s part of the latest Cadillacquer collection named Villains Fall And Halloween 2018. I love wearing neon shades at Halloween, and this one is veeeeeery bright (more than you see in my pics!).

Cadillacquer, Masterpiece

As I said above, I really love wearing Cadillacquer shades for Halloween, so here’s another one! This is quite a popular shade from the brand: it’s named Masterpiece and it’s part of the Dexter collection. I’m not completely sure, but I think that this collection was launched far in 2013, so it’s a pretty old shade – as you can see, I have it in the old Cadillacquer bottle instead of the new “restyled” one.

Masterpiece is a green jelly with different sized red hex glitter. They look as drops of blood, don’t they? I used three coats plus top coat.

So, these were my nail ideas for Halloween 2018, hope you like them! Let me know if you already planned your Halloween nails, and if you did let me know how you will paint them!
