Cupcake Polish, Imagine

Hi ladies!

July has finally arrived, which means sun, baths and dives: is there a better way to welcome it than a sparkly turquoise nail polish that reminds the sea?

Imagine by Cupcake Polish is the perfect choice for summer. It belongs to the Unicorn collection, launched in 2016 and made of 5 jelly nail polishes with holo microglitter.

Cupcake Polish is an American brand quite easy to find in Europe thanks to the major stockists Nailland (Hungary) and Hypnotic Polish (The Nederlands). There are also some minor stockists in Europe as well. Personally I bought this shade from Hypnotic Polish.

Imagine is a stunning turquoise that will make your nails shine like diamonds!

It consists in a clear base filled in with loads of holo glitter, therefore the colour is made just from the glitter! For this reason full opacity will be reached after at least 3 coats, or even 4. Personally I didn’t like the brush very much: I found it a little bit imprecise for my small nails and that made application a little more difficult than usual. Indeed, Imagine is so beautiful that it’s really worth the effort!

As every glitter nail polish, also Imagine is a little bit tricky to remove: with these kind of polishes I always use a peel-off base coat, in order to get a perfect removal without stress!

In my pictures you see four coats + top coat.

The more I look at Imagine the more I think of a calm transparent sea reflecting the sunlight on the water surface: it’s the perfect nail polish for beautiful mermaids!

Cupcake Polish shades cost about 13€, which is rather a fair price for an indie brand – also because it’s quite impossible to find this magic in cheaper mainstream nail polishes! Moreover, the bottle is pretty big and contains 15 ml of nail polish inside. You can take a look at it on Hypnotic Polish: Cupcake Polish – Imagine | Hypnotic Polish.

Currently Cupcake Polish isn’t on my top 5 of my favourite indie brands, but Imagine really stole my heart, thanks to this stunning adorable shade of turquoise <3

What do you think about it?
