Christmas Lights Nail Art #2
Hi girls!
Only a few days left before Christmas…are you excited? Have you bought all the Christmas gifts? I bought the last ones yesterday! 🙂
Do you remember about our Instagram monthly nail collab, Italian Monthly Manis? Well, I am the host of December and I chose the theme of the month, which is Christmas Lights…so this is the best moment to post something dedicated! 😀 You can read more about Italian Monthly Manis here.
This time I did literally a Christmas Lights manicure! You can see many versions of this mani online and we also had some similar entries for our collab (hashtag #itmmanis to see them), but I wanted to show you my version too.
I used a bright green for the background, Kiko 531 (Pearly Green Butterfly), which is sadly almost impossible to capture in photos. In real life it is more vivid and brighter, like the green of the traffic lights, but in the pictures it looks lifeless and more blueish. I didn’t want to edit the picture too much with Photoshop, but imagine it sparklier and greener!
I freehanded the black wire with a nail art brush and black acrylic painting. It is an easy design but it took me some time, because freehand is definitely not one of my favourite nail art techniques. I used some colourful nail studs for the lights. Lastly I coated the design with Seche Vite top coat.
This nail art looks a little bit weird to me (maybe because of the 3d nail studs?) but I like it! What do you think about it? 🙂 Do you already know how to paint your nails for Christmas?
You can see many other Christmas Lights nail designs on Instagram with the hashtag #itmmanis 🙂
