Born Pretty Store, Stamping Mat: review and tutorial
Hi girls!
Today I want to show you a very useful item that has become very popular recently: a nail art silicone mat! Mine is from Born Pretty Store (*), received from Nurbesten.de.
This mat comes inside a practical cardboard box which is also super cute. It is available in two sizes: I have the bigger one, which looks like a piece of A4-sized paper, and I like it (the other is about the half of this size). It would have been very cool to have even a bigger size (like 30x40cm as many other brands do), but unfortunately Born Pretty isn’t producing anything like that at the moment.
Let’s talk about the price: on Nurbesten it retails for 14,40€, but it is very often discounted 😛 You can buy it from here: 1Pc BORN PRETTY Silicone Stamping Mat 28*21cm Foldable Washable Pad with Box Manicure Nail Art Tool. Always remember to use my code EABL10 to get a 10% off discount on full-priced items!
These silicone mats can be used in many different ways. First, they are very useful to protect the table you are working on. No more nail polish stains on your working area!
You can also use it to create cool designs and nail decals: it is made in silicone, so any decoration painted with nail polish can be picked up with a pair of tweezers when dried. The Born Pretty mat is decorated with many clear and black nail shapes, so that you can see your nail decorations either on a dark or light background.
This mat is super resistant: you can fold it, clean it with acethone or any nail polish remover and wash it with water and soap, but it will look perfect as before! Anyway, I prefer to clean it with a piece of adhesive tape – it’s the less messy way!
I did the nail art you see here with the Born Pretty stamping mat. I used a silver holo nail polish (Hologram Silver by Shaka) for the background, and a red and a green nail polish by Kiko (n. 493, Vino Perlato and n. 531, Pearly Green Butterfly) to fill in the designs. I stamped with the Ya Qin An black stamping polish that you have already seen here: Review + Nail Art: Ya Qin An – Black Stamping Polish.
I decided to show you how I did this mani with a photo tutorial: it’s not one of the best tutorials ever seen, but I hope that you can understand something anyway! 😛
Do you have a silicone mat? What do you think about this kind of items? 🙂
Kisses
